Automobiles in German City Discovered Covered with Swastikas in Human Blood, Law Enforcement Report

Incident location Affected vehicle Area Police
Authorities mentioned they were alerted by a man who noticed a car in Hanau marked with reddish fluid

Roughly fifty cars have been marked with what appears to be human bodily fluid in the Germany's city of Hanau close to Frankfurt, according to law enforcement.

Vehicles, building surfaces and mailboxes were marked, sometimes with Nazi symbols, they announced in a official communication.

Police state they were alerted in the late hours on Wednesday evening, when a individual observed that a car in the Lamboy district of Hanau had been smeared with a red-colored substance.

The fluid had been drawn in the form of a banned symbol, they stated.

Police then discovered multiple other marked automobiles and building exteriors in the nearby vicinity.

These symbols are illegal in Germany under regulations banning the public display of Nazi-era symbols.

Officials state initial examinations suggest the substance was most likely human bodily fluid.

"Currently there is no lead as to its source; investigators are presently not informed of any physical harm in relation with the occurrence," they commented.

Local authorities announced they were trying "to solve the incident" and have requested to the community for details.

A high-ranking representative said the incident made him speechless and had to be resolved promptly.

"This event affects the very heart of Hanau and reawakens the pain of the far-right attack half a decade ago," he wrote on a platform, recalling the murder of nine victims by a shooter focusing on people of foreign heritage in February 2020.
